          The following  teachers received District Teachers' Award. They were given cash prizes and  certificates for their valuable contribution to teaching by the District Education Department, Dimapur.

ACHIEVEMENTS 

·         Master Renthungo Lotha of Class 7 bagged the first prize in Essay Competition and Master Shikupu bagged the Second  prize in Drawing & Painting competition held on 19th May 2007 under the theme 'Ecological Balance'. The Competition was organised by Care Centre for Environment & Rural Poor (C-cerp) under its Green Heritage Club of Dimapur.

Master Zudi Longchar of Class 7 participated in the South Asian Karate-Do Championship 2007 held at Imphal, Manipur India from 1st to 3rd of June 2007. He was placed 2nd and 3rd position in the Individual Kumite & Individual Kata respectively.

Miss Z. Mhonchumi Lotha  and Miss Lipika Das of Class 8 bagged the 1st  & 3rd prize respectively in the essay competition held on 18th November 2006 organised by Rotaract Club of Dimapur.

Master Imchatoshi I. Molier & Miss Kevileno Mercee of Class 10 and Master Imotemjen of Class 7 participated in the Essay competition held on 10th October 2006 and bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively. The competition was organised by the Green Heritage Club Under Care Centre for Environmental Rural Poor.

Youngest Child Scientist: Master Ashwin Asok of Class 8 participated at the 12th National Children's Science Congress 2004, held at Cotton College, Guwahati, Assam from the 27th to 31st December 2004. He was named the youngest and best participant from the State of Nagaland on the Project "Insights on Use of Water and its Scope in Dimapur" and was conferred the title 'Youngest Child Scientist'.

·         Child Scientist: Master Bharat Thakur of Class 10 participated at the "13th National Children's Science Congress (NCSC) which was held at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Deemed University, Bhubaneswar, Orissa from 27th - 31st Dec. 2005. He was selected as the best participant from the state of Nagaland on the project "Rainwater Harvesting." His project charts were collected by the organisation and he was conferred the title "CHILD SCIENTIST". In appreciation for his endeavours, he was singled out from amongst all the participants to receive a Diary as a special gift from Prof. Yashpal, Chairman, NCSC. Bharat Thakur was also privileged to have a personal talk with his Excellency, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, President of India. The President encouraged him to have the boldness to think differently, courage to invent, courage to discover the impossible, courage to tackle any problems and set the goal towards achievement. This School is proud of its young achiever. His feat and accomplishments will continue to bolster the morale of the staff and students for a long time to come. He is one of the not so numerous young people who will make a difference for the country.

     Master Ngoh M of Class 8, Master Ashwin Asok & Master Sunder Kumar of Class 9 as a team participated in the Quiz Competition held on 1st Oct. '05 organized by the State Bank of India, Dimapur Bazaar Branch. ·         On 24th Sept. '05, a Skit Competition on HIV/AIDS organized by IMC was held and the students from various classes composed a skit on the same topic and presented it at Imliyanger Memorial Centre, Dimapur. The skit was judged 3rd best and the students were given Rs. 600/- as cash prize.                                                                                      Teacher in-charge : Mr. Sandip Singh.
 
·         Miss Obendangla of Class 9 bagged the First Prize in Debate Competition on 24th Sept. '05 organised by the Rotary Club, Dimapur. The theme was 'Children are to be exposed to the reality'. She snatched the first prize by competing with various students of different schools of  Dimapur. She was against the motion and strongly objected to the unnecessary exposure to the reality at the tender age.

·         The Guides led by teacher Ms Bandana Brahma received Rs. 5000/- from the District Education Dept. for their entertaining feat during Teachers' Day program held on 5th Sept. '05 at Town Hall Dimapur.
 
·         Eco Club was set up in the month of April 2005 and bagged the Second Prize for its valuable contribution to the improvement of ecology and social welfare given by the District Administration, .                                                  Teacher in-charge : Mr. L.K. Das.
 

·         Master Adikhum Sangtam of Class 10 secured the 3rd position in "Olympic Day Run" organised by Olympic Committee of India on 23rd May 2005. He achieved this position by competing with more than one thousand boys from various schools of Dimapur District.
